Some more stuff from the past

There was a time when I was obsessed with trees. I go through that phase once in a while. Everyday I wake up and see a tree first thing in the morning. Something my grandmother had me doing when I was growing up in India. She made sure I woke up on my right side and the first thing I saw was a tree. I love trees. I am inspired by them in many ways. Standing strong with wide branches, full of life with roots that run deep in the ground. I don't have a final picture of the tree in my head when I begin to sketch. The process of just letting the pencil or pen take over gives me energy at the end of it all.
